Double Olympic silver medalist Mireia Belmonte (ESP)
is getting back on track after a period of disruption following her post-London
2012 expulsion from Sabadell. Now back in the fold in Barcelona with coach Fred
Vergnoux, Belmonte took four wins at her club's first long-course meet of the
year.
Over 800m freestyle and 200m butterfly,
the two events in which she earned silver at London 2012, Belmonte clocked
8.33.40 and 2:09.95. She also won the 200m and 400m medley in times of 2:15.49
and 4.43.29.
Belmonte, who also made it through to the
200m back final but opted out, looks to have caught the wave in time to make a
stand at a home FINA World Championships in Barcelona come July and August.
