British Swimming has today launched its new logo and visual identity.
The organisation began the process of refreshing its
visual identity at the start of 2012 with the aim of continuing its reputation
as a modern and leading National Governing Body of Sport.
The symbol represents all the aquatic disciplines –
the motion of a swimmer through water, the entry of a diver, synchronised
swimmers working in unison and opposing water polo teams. The colours consist
of Union Flag red and blue with cyan symbolising water.
The introduction of the new logo will be phased in
throughout 2013, with the first appearance on athlete kit planned to be the
FINA diving World Series in March.
